Melanie & Michael | Elizabethan Elegance | Wedding Sneak Preview

We’ve been looking forward to posting Melanie and Michael’s sneak preview SO much!  Their pre-wedding shoot had been a lot of fun and their wedding at the beautiful St. John the Baptist church in Ault Hucknall and reception at the spectacular Hardwick Hall certainly didn’t disappoint.  Melanie was one of the most radiant brides we’ve ever seen, and her excitement was infectious.  Not to mention the fact that she looked drop-dead gorgeous in her dazzling white Benjamin Roberts gown.  It was a wonderful, warm-hearted wedding day and the couple’s happiness shines out in every photo.  Melanie and Michael we hope you had an amazing time in Prague and that you enjoy this sneak preview!

Definitely one of my favourite wedding cakes ever!  And a sneaky hint at the knock-out colour scheme…

We hadn’t had much time for couple photographs before dinner so we headed out again after they’d enjoyed their meal to capture what are my favourite shots of the day.  They seem to capture the glow of dusk perfectly and looking at them really brings back the magical atmosphere of us wandering round the grounds of Hardwick after hours together…

And this last one of Chris’s has to be my absolute favourite…

Louise & Ed | ’50s Style & Oriental Chic | Hargate Hall Sneak Preview

Louise and Ed were very busy in the run up to their wedding. In fact they were pretty busy for quite a while before their wedding. Of course, they had all the usual things to do that are involved in planning a wedding, such as their pre-wedding shoot with us, but one quite unique activity they were engaged in was the making of 1000 paper cranes. Making paper cranes takes patience, time and understanding and therein lies the symbolism in two soon-to-be-married people working together to produce origami cranes that form part of an ancient Japanese legend that grants 1000 years of happiness and prosperity to the couple who completes the process. Louise and Ed married at the lovely Hargate Hall near Buxton, a venue that lends itself perfectly to couples who like to run their big day their own way. The day began with a game of rounders, closely followed by afternoon tea, cake and scones served on vintage crockery, and then on to the ceremony, fish and chips for dinner, and dancing into the night. Here are a few photos to give you a flavour of the day. Louise and Ed, we hope you both had a great time in Peru and we’re looking forward to sharing all the photos with you soon.

Great set of pictures. Hope to see you back at Hargate Hall soon. I agree as well that the paper cranes were fabulous.

Becca - Was just looking back through the blog at summer 2010 weddings and saw this. HOW AMAZING are the birds?

The Boy makes me origami in all of my birthday, christmas and valentines (I have a ZOO after eight years) so I LOVE this.

And the shot on the stairs? **makes lip smacking noise**

Polly & Ralph | Suffolk Sweetness | Sneak Preview

Polly and Ralph’s pre-wedding shoot caused much stir, not least because Ralph’s self-confession to not really being into having his photo taken faded fast as he seemed to embrace his inner super-model 😉 Indeed, as you’ll see in this first shot of the sneak preview, I think that Ralph, his best man and ushers all seem to be quite at home with posing for the camera! But anyway, we’d been looking forward to Ralph and Polly’s wedding since first meeting them for their pre-wedding shoot a few months ago. And it didn’t disappoint. The cloud threatened and the wind blew, but when the bride has a veil then a good breeze just adds to the effect- as you’ll see below! Erica and I had a great time photographing Polly and Ralph’s wedding on Ralph’s parents’ beautiful farm in Suffolk. There are many lovely shots but for now, as always, here’s just a very small selection to whet your appetite. Hope you had a lovely time in Guernsey, Polly and Ralph, and we’re looking forward to sharing all the photos with you soon!

Tracey & Lee | Chatsworth Charm | Wedding Photography Sneak Preview

Tracey and Lee are such a warm-hearted couple – the type of people you feel you’ve known for ages after a few minutes in their company (in this case, spent scrambling after the very athletic Lee on our pre-wedding shoot in the Peak District!)  Making them even more perfect wedding clients is their obvious head-over-heels love for one another…in fact the first photograph in this sneak preview line-up is the perfect example of why we love our job as wedding photographers, but it’s evident in all of their photographs together.  Their wedding at beautiful Chatsworth House (one of our favourite local places to visit, as well as a seriously fantastic wedding venue) was blessed with sunshine and laughter and everyone had a wonderful time, including us!

We hope you enjoy your sneak preview Tracey & Lee (lots more gorgeous photos to come!) and had a wonderful time in Lake Garda.
