Last year as 2009 drew to a close I desperately, desperately wanted to do a ‘highlights of the year’ post. I don’t know what happened but despite beginning the painstaking process of drawing together my favourite images, I never got round to assembling a blog post. This year we have some better Photoshop actions set up, which make the process of assembling marathon blog posts slightly less time-consuming, and, well, I just PROMISED myself that this year, I would get round to it. So, with apologies for the fact that we’re over a week into 2011, I’m very excited to present our photographic highlights of last year…many of which are brand new to the blog!
A few explanatory words to start…First off it has been impossible to include all of my most favourite images because there are so soooooooo many of them. I’ve had to be very strict with myself. I’ve picked only the prettiest, the most romantic, the most expressive, the most well-executed, photographically-speaking. But above all I’ve tried to pick my favourite moments of love and happiness. All our weddings of 2010 are represented (at one crazy point I had thought I would also incorporate my favourite pre-wedding shoot images but then I got realistic!) and I’ve roughly organised them into themes. Finally and most importantly of all I would like to take the opportunity to thank ALL of our clients for being such fun and inspiring people to work with, for making our job so enjoyable and for being such all-round lovely people.
First up, a collection of our favourite bridal portraits, getting ready shots (brides and grooms, of course!) and bridesmaids photos…enjoy…
Lots of gorgeous wedding and venue details coming up in part 2!

holly - My favourite is one a couple in a shower of confetti with all their guests outside Christ Church. It looks like a lovely summer day, everyone is smiling and you have somehow captured the timelessness of the church against the transient nature of a snap shot of just one day out of a whole summer and just one moment at the start of a hopefully long and happy marriage! (They are all lovely though!)
