Alison & David | Whirlowbrook Hall Wedding Photography | Sneak Preview

Alison and David planned their wedding in record time but thanks to Alison’s meticulous organisational skills, it was a sensational day.  The couple were married at beautiful Christ Church Dore, in Sheffield, and then we moved on to Whirlowbrook Hall for the reception, via the Peak District.  All of the details were perfectly chosen – from Alison’s divine blush-coloured wedding gown, to the luscious flowers and deliciously delicate tower of chocolate cakes.  And Alison and David were so wrapped up in one another, it was a delight to be there to photograph their special day.  Here’s a sneak preview of a few of our favourites from the day.

Keeley & Jonathon | Romance in the Rain | Pre-wedding shoot

We postponed Keeley and Jonathon’s first pre-wedding shoot due to pretty poor weather, and then the newly-scheduled day arrived….and it was no better! It was that misleading type of rain that fools you into thinking it’s just quite fine drizzle and not worth worrying about, and then after a few minutes you realise just how wet you are. Anyway, we decided we’d go ahead with it, and despite the rather soggy ground and rain we all had a really nice time and got some great shots along with it! Keeley and Jonathon are getting married at Breadsall Priory in May- we’re really looking forward to shooting there especially seeing that Keeley and Jonathon seem to be such naturals in front of the camera! Thanks for being so easy to work with Keeley and Jonathon; we’re really looking forward to your big day! Here are some of the highlights of the shoot…

Kensington Roof Gardens Wedding | Wedding Photography

While we have a few quieter weeks before the explosion of the 2011 wedding season we thought we’d brighten up these cold winter days with some full wedding posts.  You’ll recognise some of these images from the sneak preview last year, and of course from our ‘highlights of 2010’ post a few weeks back.  Mimi and Charlie had a truly stylish city wedding, with a beautiful traditional wedding service at the lovely St. Mary’s Church in Wimbledon and a lavish reception at Kensington Roof Gardens, one of our favourite wedding venues.  We didn’t stop until the house lights came up at the end of the night, having finished things off on a high note with a fantastic Photobooth (more of which to follow in a future post.)  Mimi and Charlie are a lovely, vibrant couple and great fun to spend time with – as you’ll see from this selection of our favourite images from the day.

Mimi and her bridesmaids got ready at her parents lovely home in Wimbledon…

Mimi’s delicate dream of a dress was by Caroline Castigliano.

Meanwhile Christian met up with Charlie and his extremely large party of ushers for drinks at the Crooked Billet pub in Wimbledon.

Then it was on to church…

St. Mary’s is a beautiful church, and the service was lovely.

It’s a true privilege to be able to capture all the wonderful emotions of the couple as they become husband and wife…joy, excitement, wonder, happiness…

Kensington Roof Gardens make for a such beautiful backdrop – Christian and I were in heaven photographing here!

The warm(ish!) September weather meant it was speeches outside.  So pretty!

The party begins…

Mimi and Charlie’s friends and family REALLY know how to dance!

Congratulations Mimi & Charlie – thanks for a wonderful day.  We wish you every happiness for your future together.

Becca - What a seriously beautiful bride. I have hair envy. I really wish I was blonde. And looked like this bride. And had that dress. And flamingo’s. And danced like I was in a madonna video. OK, so I have WHOLE WEDDING ENVY.

Gorgeously captured. I love – particularly the close ups. Going to take a picture of the hair in to the hairdresser and see if such a miracle is possible. Damn by incredibly dark, overly curly hair.

Just lush-a-licious.
