Victoria & Simon | Kirtlington Park Wedding | Oxfordshire

It’s been some time since we blogged, so we thought the only way to make up for it would be with a MAMMOTH blog post. We first met Victoria and Simon in Cambridge for their engagement shoot, and we knew then from listening to them talking about their forthcoming wedding at Kirtlington Park in Oxfordshire that it was going to be a pretty special affair. And what a day it was. What began as quite an overcast day soon turned into the most brilliant of sunny days. A special mention must go to Erica’s bridal prep shots during the morning which are just amazing…but I’ll let the pictures tell the story…

Meanwhile at Rose Cottage just a few minutes away from Kirtlington Park…

The first look…

You’ve got to love a bride and groom who really go for it on the dancefloor!

At the end of the night everybody waved the happy couple off with sparklers as they drove away in their Morgan.

Stephanie & Ashley | Clumber Park Engagement Shoot

We met up with Stephanie and Ashley recently for their pre-wedding photoshoot, in what turned out to be a perfectly timed window of glorious weather and light in an otherwise rather gloomy weekend.  Their very well chosen location was Clumber Park, which oddly for somewhere so close, Christian and I have only visited once before, during last year’s snow.  It was lovely to see it in the sunshine, and even nicer to spend our morning with Stephanie and Ashley, who are clearly perfect together and a dream to photograph.  To top it all off in the ‘dream client’ stakes, they even treated us to tea and cake after the shoot while we ran through the plans for their big day next month at St. Peter and St. Paul’s church, Gringley on the Hill, and the Secret Garden.   Thanks for a great morning Stephanie and Ashley – we hope you enjoy your photographs!

Zain & Osma | London Engagement Shoot

Apparently the newspapers in the lead-up to Zain and Osma’s engagement photo shoot had been full of predictions that the day in question was going to be a complete wash out….well, the day came and the weather was the exact opposite! As they live in London, Zain and Osma booked us over the telephone, and so their engagement shoot was the first time we’d all met in person. We all met in front of the old fire engine in front of the National Theatre in London, and before we knew it we were chatting like we’d all known each other for a lot longer than a few minutes…Zain has lots of family connections with Canada, and so we needed little encouragement to bond over a shared love of a Vancouver! We all had a lot of fun as we walked along, stopping every so often to take some photos, and I think we could easily have carried on for the whole day. Zain and Osma are to be married at the Royal Exchange in London which promises to be a pretty magical venue for a wedding, and we can’t wait to be there to photograph the day as it unfolds! See you soon Zain and Osma, and meanwhile enjoy your engagement photographs!

Come on Zain…

NO!

Below is one of my personal favourites, along with the next one in black and white.

Zain and Osma really wanted a jumping shot. I don’t think I have ever seen anybody take so much trouble in perfecting a jumping shot!

It just had to be done…

Stop Press!

Erica and I don’t like to blow our own trumpets, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t things we’re proud of! Over the last few years we’ve had real weddings featured in various magazines, as well as our Pretty Little Gypsy Wedding shoot that was published as a fashion feature in You & Your Wedding magazine and what’s more was the first time You & Your Wedding magazine have published a shoot they’ve not commissioned. We wanted to create a place to gather together all the press we’ve received, and so we thought it fitting to do a short post about it here to herald the new Press section on our main website. It features the front covers to the issues we’ve been in, and it’s fully functional so that you can click on each cover to see the spreads, and if you click on each spread you can also download a PDF of the article for reading at leisure. We’re proud to have our work published in these places and hope to see the Press section become more and more full as time goes on. So here’s a little preview of what it all looks like:
