Amelia | Newburgh Priory Wedding

2012 was an amazing year, and the busiest year yet for us, and along the way we had the pleasure of photographing so many lovely couples in so many amazing locations. Although we now have a little break from shooting weddings until the 2013 wedding season kicks in, it’s always a busier time than we imagine it’s going to be, not least because we are busy, beavering away on some new developments that we’re going to be launching soon…it’s such an exciting time and we can’t wait to get underway with everything! Unfortunately, as a result our blog has been left a little un-loved by us, although we have started to use our Facebook business page a bit more, so we’d love it if you stopped by to have a look. If you don’t already ‘Like’ us, you can find us at http://www.facebook.com/ChristianWardPhotography and click on our ‘Like’ button to get notifications each time we update our page.

But back to the blog…we’re going to get better with it, we promise, and so what we’re going to do is publish smaller posts, but more regularly. We’re going to be looking back at 2012 and picking out some of the many images we love. Today we’re beginning with Amelia. We photographed Amelia and Jonathan’s wedding at Newburgh Priory and Bolton Castle during 2012, and this is one of our favourite shots of Amelia at Newburgh Priory in the final stages of her getting ready. I love the expression on her face!

Naomi & Edward | Nottingham Wedding Photography

Some people say less is more when it comes to blog posts. You’ll see from this that I don’t subscribe to that notion but believe me when I say this is an abridged version of Naomi and Edward’s wedding…there were just so many moments, so many emotions, and I wanted to tell that story as comprehensively as I could through the photos. Naomi and Edward were married at the Christadelphian Hall in Nottingham and then went on to the quaint little village of Normanton on Soar. If there is one thing that comes across to me in this pictorial story of their day it’s happiness. Happiness, joy and family. I know that’s 3 things. But here’s the story of their day….Edward and Naomi, we hope you love these!

London Engagement Photography | Simon & Stacie’s London Engagement Shoot

Simon and Stacie are soon to be married in one of our favourite venues- Kensington Roof Gardens. We always love returning there and even more so when it’s to document the wedding for a special couple like Simon and Stacie. We met up with them in front of the quirky city hall at More London and then ambled around the area chatting and taking photos, and time just flew by. Stacie confessed to being a little bit nervous but we’d seriously not have known…these guys seriously made our job easy and they were so trusting and relaxed in front of the camera, and with each other. I fear we may have gone slightly overboard with the number of photos in this post, but it’s difficult cutting down the numbers for shoots like this, especially when it would appear that Simon and Stacie are a couple with an infinite number of different faces and expressions. We had a great time Simon and Stacie, we hope you enjoy these photos and we’re looking forward to being there to capture your wedding in just a few weeks!

Hever Castle Wedding | Emily & Chris | Sneak Preview

Here’s a little look at Emily and Chris. This lovely couple married at Hever Castle in Kent and the rain certainly didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits! Just a sneaky look for now, but some medium format film shots taken with our Contax 645 have made it into this post! (For the film buffs, it’s Fuji 400H, developed and scanned by RPL in the US of A).
