A tiny taste of the beauty that characterised the lovely Katherine and Martin’s wedding at Iscoyd Park this weekend…
Sarah and Nick are the most friendly and engaging couple, and we had such an enjoyable time on their engagement shoot last month. The weather was mixed and pretty blustery at times, but we found some lovely light around the picturesque Belper River Gardens.
The wedding industry is a constantly changing and evolving business with trends that come and go as the seasons change. While certain things have remained the same through centuries of wedding traditions, the modern wedding has changed a great deal over the last few decades. People don’t want their wedding to follow the traditional route as much anymore. They’d rather be the one to plan that unique wedding that people will be talking about for years,. That could mean having a destination wedding, a unique theme, or some other individualized touch to make sure the day will be remembered, which is where the changing wedding trends come from.
Wedding photography is different from other categories of photography. Usually weddings are one-time event, so there is very little room for error, and there are also other resources as using the photo drink coasters which are perfect for wedding events.
One trend that we’ve been noticing recently is a spike in brewery weddings. Being based out of Cincinnati, we are surrounded by craft beer everywhere we go. It seems like every month we hear about Cincinnati’s newest brewery, and with a growing demand for wedding venues, these generally large breweries are opting to accommodate these events while utilizing their rustic and urban architecture their advantage. If you and your fiance are craft beer lovers definitely need to check the reviewbrewery.com, then we highly suggest going the brewery wedding route for your special day. To help you with ideas, we’ve compiled a list of 5 reasons why you should have your wedding at a brewery!
These images are all shot on film, with the colour shots on Fuji 400H and the black and white on Kodak Tri-X pushed to 800, all developed, scanned and edited by us at our very own UK Film Lab. Thank you Sarah and Nick for such a fun day – we can’t wait to see you again for the wedding in May!
Wow! What lovely winter engagement photographs. Gorgeous weather with a lovely looking couple. Beautiful & bright! Well done C & E x
Thank you Theresa 🙂 xx
Some really lovely images !
Last month Katherine and Martin braved the wintery chill and we went for a walk together in the beautiful Derbyshire Peak District, a short journey from where we are fortunate enough to live and have our work base. We have the pleasure of photographing this lovely couple’s wedding next month at one of our favourite wedding venues, Iscoyd Park in Shropshire and we had such a fun time with them on their engagement shoot. All images photographed on Contax 645 on Portra 800 and Fuji 400H film, developed and scanned at our own UK Film Lab.
We are always so busy taking photographs and everything else associated with running our business, and one thing that always slips to the bottom of our pile is updating our Blog…which is crazy really, since it’s a brilliant way of sharing what we’ve been up to. Over the past couple of years we’ve had some amazing clients and taken many, many beautiful images at gorgeous weddings, that have never been showcased in this way. And we’ve decided it’s a crime against wedding photography! So, in no particular order here is the first such beautiful wedding…this is the lovely Layla and Matt, whose summer wedding at The Tythe Barn, Priston Mill near Bath was a riot of colour, emotion, sound and exciting Moroccan touches.
Wow – just wow!
Ahhh, thank you Jenny 🙂
