Wedding Photography in France | Jess & Tim | Chateau La Durantie

Last Summer we had the pleasure of photographing a truly beautiful wedding – that of the lovely Jess and Tim, who were married at Chateau La Durantie.  Chateau La Durantie is a gorgeous place set in picture perfect grounds, tucked away in the heart of the picturesque Dordogne region of France. We photographed Jess and Tim’s wedding using both digital and film cameras.  In particular many of the couple shots, outdoor details and bridal party portraits are shot on film, with our beloved Contax 645 cameras on Fuji 400H film, developed and scanned ourselves at our UK Film Lab.  Thanks Jess and Tim for choosing us as your wedding photographers – it was a joy to photograph such a happy day.

Priss & Ron | Newcastle Engagement Photography

Recently we had the pleasure of meeting the very sweet Priss and Ron for the first time in person.  Their wedding is in October and we met them for an engagement shoot in the beautiful city of Newcastle, which holds many special memories for them both.  Thanks Priss and Ron for a fantastic time in the Toon!  We shot this in a mixture of digital and medium format film so we thought we’d share both today, starting off with soft and lovely film, shot on the Contax 645 (a mix of Fuji 400H and Acros film) and developed/scanned by us in our other guise!  (UK Film Lab)

And now to go old school 😉 Here are the digital images…

Jane & Sam on Film – Taitlands – North Yorkshire Wedding Photography

Film photography (yes, that’s right, where you put the roll of film into your camera and don’t get to see the results until you develop it!) is a growing passion of ours, and in particular, shooting medium format film on our beloved Contax 645s.  We love film so much that we’ve even started up a film developing and scanning lab called UK Film Lab, which is growing in popularity every day and allowing us to be part of a wonderful film shooting community.  Soon we’ll be introducing film packages into our wedding photography services, in addition to our existing film-only venture, One Experience.  But having seen some of our film work, the sweet, funny and wonderfully enthusiastic Jane and Sam, asked us if we’d shoot some at their wedding last month.  And of course we said yes!  We love the soft, beautiful colours of colour film and the clean, natural look of black and white film; we love the way in makes us take photographs; we love the simplicity and yet the skill involved; and we love the exciting anticipation of waiting to see your images.  Thank you Jane and Sam for your passion and enthusiasm for having beautiful wedding photographs, and for making it so easy and enjoyable for us to take them.  These were shot on a mixture of Fuji 400H, Portra 800 and TRI-X 400, developed and scanned by us, at the amazingly beautiful Taitlands in North Yorkshire.

Katharine Peachey - Delightful, especially those lovely evening light portraits. And just realised you are UK film lab too! How exciting.

Lou & Al – Yorkshire Sculpture Park Wedding Photography

The lovely Lou & Al are up on Rock My Wedding today and we thought we’d take the long overdue opportunity to share more of their gorgeous wedding with all their maid of honors which used resources from the Modern MOH – Maid of Honor Resource site, to prepare for a perfect wedding.  This was such a special day – Lou and Al are warm, funny, genuine, and were clearly overjoyed and sooooo excited to be marrying one another – just as it should be!
