Browsing through our hard drives the other day, it struck us just how many of our images, no, weddings have not even seen light of day on our blog. What with the busy-ness of shooting, blogging has been less frequent and inclusive than we’d always like, so in an attempt to remedy that, we’ve had a VERY quick trawl through our files to spot weddings that we’ve not blogged (yet) and put together this collection of random photos that caught our eye on that whistlestop tour of our mammoth electronic archives. This was originally just supposed to be a short post with a few pretty pictures, but it has turned into something altogether bigger! But anyway, to start you off is Emma and Neil who were married in Suffolk, and had the most amazing light just before sundown:
This is the Great Conservatory at Syon Park. Pretty awe-inspiring, and we photographed Nazia and Joel’s wedding there earlier this year.
Emma and Jon were married in the most beautiful Cornish countryside. The clouds rained and the sun shone, but it was probably the most perfect day you could ever experience.
Our very own styled shoot – My Pretty Little Gypsy Wedding- as featured in You & Your Wedding magazine and on Rock My Wedding.
Charlotte and Nathan’s wedding at Heathy Lea near Chatsworth House.
Emma and Jon again, in Cornwall. So what if it rains?
Steph & Ashley’s happy day.
This was one of the tables at Emma & Neil’s wedding in Suffolk. I love in this photo how it feels like the outside has been brought in.
Nazia & Joel at Syon Park.
Claire and Dan, a beautiful wheat field, West Carlton Country Guesthouse
Confetti BUBBLES!
Give it up for the shoes. Jon’s custom Converse put in an honorary appearance.
The lovely couple- Laura and Matiss- at Sefton Park in Liverpool
Fran looking amazing in her Jenny Packham dress.
Maddy and Christian, Hillsborough Walled Gardens in Sheffield
I wish I knew this dog’s name. He/She’s our favourite dog ever to appear at a wedding reception. (He/She needn’t know that they’re the ONLY dog to appear at a wedding reception we’ve photographed). Look out out later as he/she watches and listens to the speeches.
One of my favourite moments during a wedding is when a dad looks over at his daughter just before the ceremony. This is Fran and her dad, just about to head into the ceremony at Stoke Park Pavilions.
Katie and David’s autumnal wedding at Sheffield’s Millennium Galleries.
Maddy and Christian heading to their evening reception.
Victoria and Philip at Bolsover Castle.
Catrina and Stuart at Crow Hill.
Lisa and Nigel in North Yorkshire.
Lisa and Nigel with the tools of their trade: Lisa with a vintage dr’s bag, and Nigel with, well, a sword.
Helen and Nick’s beautiful day at Prestwold Hall.
Love this confetti shot! Sally and Tim (a very cute couple) at Sheffield’s Botanical Gardens.
Matiss’s best man delivers the goods during his speech at Laura and Matiss’s wedding.
The beautiful Charlotte and Nathan under an old oak tree, at Heathy Lea
Andrina and Chris at the KP Club. Delicious light.
Damon and Emma at the magnificent All Saint’s Church, Margaret St, London
Claire and Tom, Whirlowbrook Hall in Sheffield. I remember these shots happening and being excited to have found the holy grail of light.
Pete and Vicky at Matfen hall.
Jen and Tom at Somerford Hall. After the biggest downpour, the weather cleared and resulted in a beautiful evening.
Steph and Ashley.
Fran and Tim at Stoke Park Pavilions.
Charlotte at Heathy Lea, and a well-timed breeze.
See, I told you. I looked out of the marquee while photographing the speeches, and this little guy was sat on a table in the garden watching and listening intently to what was going on. Either that, or he/she was contemplating their next steps towards world domination.
Our ‘My Pretty Little Gypsy Wedding’ shoot again.
Emma.
Joel’s sister perfects his buttonhole for him.
Steph and her dad on the walk up to the church in Gringley on the Hill where Ashley was waiting for her at the top of the aisle.
Dan and his groomsmen, shortly about to leave for the ceremony.
Christian’s best man. When I look at this photo it maybes me think of a spy (maybe even 007) calling HQ.
Christian puts finishing touches to his tie.
Archie- Charlotte and Nathan’s little boy, masters the iPad. Below- Emma’s little flower girls trying to peek round the vicar to see into the church.
Ever seen a happier-looking ‘signing the register’ shot?
Steph and Ashley.
