Well they say that things come in threes and it must be true! Just to re-cap for those who might not have been visiting our blog for very long, firstly Miranda, the editor from Cosmopolitan Bride and You & Your Wedding magazine contacted us to ask if they could use our photographs of Fran & David’s country garden wedding for one of their ‘real wedding’ features. Then we had a call from Brides Magazine saying they had chosen us as their exclusive wedding photographer for Derbyshire county in their 2010 wedding directory. Then our latest bit of news: last week we had contact from Cake & Pictures, asking us to be in their directory. Those in the industry will be familiar with Cake & Pictures, but for those who’ve not heard of it, here’s a description by Cake & Pictures themselves:
“Cake & Pictures is an exclusive directory of simply the finest wedding photographers in the world.”
I’ve long been aware of this highly reputable international directory and as you might expect, a number of my photographer ‘heroes’ are in there. What makes it even more special is that it’s by invitation only, and numbers are strictly limited. How limited? As I write this, we are one of only 3 wedding photographers listed for the UK, one of whom is the legendary Jeff Ascough! I can’t begin to tell you how excited we are to start on this journey with Cake & Pictures and we’re really looking forward to working with them over the coming months.
As well as being fantastic news for us on a personal and professional level we know our wonderful clients like to hear about developments like this – and of course we owe so much to them for inspiring us to create beautiful images. Thanks to all of you!
